Suicide is considered one of the serious problems nowadays because it is widespread around the world including the Kurdish society that is suffering from it especially in recent years. The number of suicides is increasing day after day around the world, especially among the youths ranging (18-44) years old. According to the world health organization (WHO) report for 2012, there is about 1,100,000 people commit suicide every year around the world, which means one case of suicide every 40 seconds. As for west Mediterranean region, the WHO indicates that around 36000 persons die every year because of suicide. Suicides represent the second main cause of deaths for the age group (15-19). Internationally, suicide is one of the main three causes of deaths among the age group (15-44). I have found that it is important to study this phenomenon, which represents a problematic issue, in the light of the purposes of Islamic Sharia (law) and modern sciences especially psychology, sociology and other relating sciences.
